- educated to degree level Environmental Health with additional specialist postgraduate training professional qualification by the Chartered Institute of Environment Health
- EHRB registration at Chartered status
- completion of Food Standards Agency Lead Officer training
Requirements
- experience of a regulatory role environmental health
- ability to communicate with a range of partners & the community objectively and persuasively where necessary
- ability to apply risk management techniques, control measures including enforcement sanctions
- experience of carrying out a full range of enforcement action including prosecution, improvement notices, prohibition notices, RAN notices
- the ability to interpret complex legislation
- full UK driving licence, own vehicle and insurance for business use
- experience in undertaking complex investigations
- ability to prioritise a busy caseload
