Responsibility

  • collaborate with Pub Managers, Head Chefs and senior leaders to identify training needs and design effective programmes to address them
  • design and develop training, including online training materials, guides, and visual aids, to create engaging and informative learning experiences
  • deliver training sessions both in-person and through digital platforms, ensuring that content is engaging, interactive, and easily digestible
  • monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives, collecting feedback and making necessary adjustments to continuously improve the programmes
  • stay updated with industry trends and best practices to ensure our training programmes are innovative and engaging
  • assist with the induction process for new starters, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles
  • build relationships with pub teams to build a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • coach high potential individuals, designing bespoke Personal Development Plan to progress their career

Requirements

  • proven experience in learning and development in the hospitality industry is essential
  • substantial operational knowledge of the hospitality industry and in-depth knowledge of food, cask ales and wine will be a distinct advantage
  • experience of delivering management or leadership programmes
  • creative flare in writing engaging and impactful training content
  • meticulous attention to detail particularly in relation to written materials
  • excellent communication and presentation skills
  • ability to adapt training techniques to various learning styles and preferences
  • outstanding organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously

commercial finance manager

Responsibility

  • key point of contact for the Operations & Pub management teams
  • ownership of all Key P&L lines
  • prepare and analyse reports, highlight trends, variances and opportunities for growth or efficiencies
  • key stakeholder in the budget & forecast processes
  • develop and maintain KPI’s to track performance
  • support strategic planning and decision making
  • support on wider projects, including new systems and process change

  • professional accounting qualification
