Responsibility

  • mixing and delivering TMR/PMR to the dairy herd and youngstock
  • maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • preparing and delivering feed rations accurately in accordance with ration sheets and Digistar software
  • ensuring the proper maintenance of silage clamps and feed stores
  • keeping accurate and up-to-date records
  • performing general machinery maintenance
  • receipt and storage of feed deliveries
  • providing support to the main dairy team as needed

Requirements

  • valid UK driving licence
  • telehandler certificate
  • prior experience with TMR feeding or general farm work is desirable, but full training will be provided
  • competence in the use of telehandlers and feeder wagons
  • knowledge of silage clamp management and safe handling of livestock
  • basic understanding of tractor/machinery maintenance
  • familiarity with Digistar feeding software or the ability to learn quickly
  • strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

tractor driver

Responsibility

  • proficient and safe operation of all relevant machinery, including Tractor driving
  • completion of tasks associated with forage production, slurry handling, and cultivation
  • upholding a clean and secure working environment
  • assisting with equipment and premises cleaning as needed
  • maintaining accurate records
  • conducting basic machinery maintenance
  • providing support to the main dairy team, including stock work
  • promptly reporting any concerns or machinery faults to the line manager
