Working hours

Responsibility

  • maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment within the quarry, ensuring minimal downtime
  • assist in the implementation of new projects
  • adherence to all safety and environment regulations
  • prompt troubleshooting and problem resolution

Requirements

  • ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • time-served/apprentice-trained Electrical Engineering craftsman
  • good working knowledge of electrical LV isolation
  • 17th / 18th Edition Wiring regulation BS7671 Certificate
  • A good understanding of Electrical maintenance methods & techniques
  • knowledge & experience of medium/high voltage networks, including switching methods
  • A working knowledge of BS7671 inspection & testing – qualifications in this area would be desirable
  • proficiency in using computers
