Responsibility
- to work with others to ensure the highest standards of nursing and clinical care to patients and carers
- promote and maintain the philosophy of the hospice
- work closely with other disciplines and deputise for the Senior Staff Nurse
- promote and maintain high quality patient care by acting as a role model for more junior staff
- deliver Specialist Palliative Care to patients / families
- to deliver a range of patient care duties under the indirect supervision of registered nurses. To assist registered staff in the provision of high quality palliative care for patients, their relatives and carers
- manage human resources and equipment
- to advise and support staff, demonstrate competence in the speciality and broaden remit in line with current evidence based knowledge and training
