Working hours

Responsibility

  • install electrical equipment
  • perform electrical repairs
  • troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and repair or replace broken wiring
  • install electrical equipment to accommodate existing fixtures or circuits
  • perform preventative maintenance on existing electrical systems and performing preventative maintenance on new construction
  • ensure that work areas comply with health and safety standards and regulations
  • keep work area clean and organized at all times
  • connect new wiring to existing wiring and ensure that new wiring does not exceed current wiring or exceed maximum allowable space

Requirements

  • minimum of 2 years’ experience as an electrician in a commercial/domestic setting with emphasis on commercial/domestic installations preferred but not required
  • ability to read blueprints and understand basic electrical theory and be able to follow basic safety instructions
