BLACK OX is looking for employees for positions:
- cashing up and weekly banking
- to create menus, plan, prepare, cook and present food to the highest standards
- plan specials board and catering for private events
- to ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is maintained
- to control portion size and monitor waste, keeping food costs within the agreed budget
- liaise with suppliers, all aspects of ordering, stock control and rotation
- to ensure Health and Safety and Food Safety Standards are maintained in line with company policy
- to set objectives and be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen and kitchen staff
- to assess employee performance and recognise training needs and potential as appropriate
- we are looking for a strong individuals to assist in our kitchen operation, duties will include but aren't limited to
- cooking and preparing high quality, fresh food
- assisting the Head Chef to create menu items, recipes and develop dishes
- being responsible for health and safety
- being responsible for food hygiene practices
- ensuring food quality and excellent standards are maintained for all dishes created
- assisting with determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering
- ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines
- events experience
- office Manager experience
- excellent proven communications skills – both written and verbal
- attention to detail
- ability to work as part of a team
- ability to manage own workload
- ability to work under pressure and ensure deadlines are met

- researching venues & suppliers
- liaise with attendees post event
- manage the events inbox
