Responsibility

  • to Oversee and ensure DRC’s premises and on-site activities meet health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation
  • to be a key holder and therefore open and close the building as required
  • to act as one of DRC’s duly appointed Fire Marshalls and First Aider undertaking regular training as required
  • to respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and deal with the consequences
  • to Line manage the Office Coordinator , in line with DRC’s performance management system; to monitor and demonstrate agreed service levels and report on service improvement

Requirements

  • part-qualified AAT, ACCA or similar
  • educated to level 3 or equivalent in relevant subjects
  • degree qualification or equivalent
  • evidence of appropriate training in accountancy
  • previous all-round experience of working in a financial administration and/or bookkeeping role
  • previous experience in the charity sector
  • previous experience of using 1 or more computerised accounts packages for book-keeping purposes
  • ability to set work plans for self and to prioritise and re-prioritise according to business need
