we are looking to recruit a Head Chef to join us at our family owned care home
order provisions/ingredients for the weekly menus
ensure that all meals are visually appetising and taste good
supporting residents to ensure meals meet the requirements for those residents with special diets and/or require different food consistencies
devise, order and cook well balanced nutritious meals for up to 80 residents in a large nursing home. This involves 3 hot meals with 2 choices at each meal per day
manage a small team that includes a cook and several kitchen porters ensuring all shifts are covered across the 7days of the week and cover 365 days per year
report immediately to the Home Manager, or Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature
other such reasonable duties within the general scope of the job title at the Home Managers discretion

ensuring that evidence based, person centred care is central to service provision
lead in maintaining and evaluating the electronic care plan systems, ensuring that feedback is provided to management and staff
carry out regular clinical audits, draw up and monitor action plans
ensure the availability, operation and servicing of clinical equipment and supplies
to lead on the achievement of the gold standard framework programme, and ensure that the service retains accreditation thereafter
undertaking comprehensive assessment of new referrals and carrying out regular reassessment post admission and ensuring that all information is obtained from relevant agencies
