Responsibility
- we are looking to recruit a Head Chef to join us at our family owned care home
- order provisions/ingredients for the weekly menus
- ensure that all meals are visually appetising and taste good
- supporting residents to ensure meals meet the requirements for those residents with special diets and/or require different food consistencies
- devise, order and cook well balanced nutritious meals for up to 80 residents in a large nursing home. This involves 3 hot meals with 2 choices at each meal per day
- manage a small team that includes a cook and several kitchen porters ensuring all shifts are covered across the 7days of the week and cover 365 days per year
- report immediately to the Home Manager, or Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature
- other such reasonable duties within the general scope of the job title at the Home Managers discretion
