Requirements
A relevant degree or equivalent laboratory experience
Responsibility
to clean, calibrate and maintain equipment, and prepare and maintain reagents, standards or control samples
to assist with the training of junior staff in routine procedures
to assist other members of the Laboratory Services Unit as required
to assist with documentation preparation and review, under appropriate supervision
to perform and maintain procedures to ensure effective treatment and disposal of contaminated laboratory waste according to standard operating procedures
to prepare in house media and reagents as requested

receiving, identifying, and inspecting incoming goods and the completion of associated documentation including requests for quality control testing
maintenance of the Warehouse facility ensuring the area is clean, tidy and a safe environment
maintaining correct segregation between quarantined and released Raw Materials and Finished Products according to cGMP
carrying out on-site deliveries of assembled orders to user departments and sections as required
maintaining cGMP and H&S standards, ensuring all records are completed accurately and at the time
placing incoming stock items into their storage locations and recording the location on IFS Inventory Control system software
preparation of other materials and equipment for dispatch and completion of all documentation

Responsibility
lead and conduct effective investigations with action close out, improving claims defensibility and performance
develop, manage, and embed legal HS&E polices and procedures to enable compliance and continuous improvement
provide legal and technical guidance. Drive, create and support implementation initiatives to embed controls to mitigate risk arising from new/changing HSE legislation
through internal stakeholder engagement, design, develop, implement, and manage programmes that grow EH&S through initiatives that mature culture and improve behaviours that underpin site management and performance metrics
create systems and educate site teams to ensure effective investigation of all incidents. Implement and management of the incident recording system
provide competent and comprehensive H&S advice and support to line leaders, enabling them to effectively manage HS&E within their areas of responsibility
liaise with health and safety and environmental regulators where necessary
use of technical knowledge ensure that any project, equipment and change to method of work is compliant, eradicates hazards and improves risk or sustainability
Requirements
hands on experience working in a manufacturing environment with hazardous chemicals
experience working alongside a Production team
qualified to at least NEBOSH General Certificate level or equivalent
NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
IEMA Certificate in Environmental management
health and safety Auditor training internal auditor course
experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and GxP
awareness and understanding of ISO45001

Responsibility
you will also be involved in various cleaning activities of the process areas and equipment
there is an element of heavy lifting is involved in most sections within Production
in addition, you will play a vital role in improvement initiatives
skills & experience to help you within the role –
as a Technician in a large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, you will carry out activities connected with the preparation of therapeutic products, working in clean rooms including operating large-scale process equipment and performing in-process checks for formulation
GMP experience or a good understanding is essential and experience of working to SOP’s is also an advantage
