- to assist and support a busy fee-earner and Assistant with secretarial and administrative duties
- audio and copy typing all correspondence to include letters, legal forms, precedents and quotes
- answer the telephone to clients, lenders, agents etc
- answer telephone calls
- undertake administrative duties such as photocopying, scanning and updating client details
- arranging appointments and dealing with clients
- access and input data on the firm’s client case management system- SOS – Solicitors own Software
- working closely with the fee-earner, assistant and other secretarial colleagues, assisting with cover when required
- proven experience working as a Secretary
- proven experience working as a Secretary/Assistant
- excellent technical skills which include a fast and accurate typing speed
- the ability to manage a busy workload with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines
- good communication skills and a confident, friendly and outgoing manner both over the phone and in person
- attention to detail
- from time to time you may be required to attend court hearing for the purpose of note taking
