  • A vacancy has arisen in our 28 bed care home in Edinburgh for a deputy manager
  • applicants must be a registered nurse with a valid NMC pin and no restrictions on practise
  • previous experience in supervision and leadership is desirable but not essential

  • the position is full time day shift. The job will involve running the floor as the nurse as well as supernumary time. Exact hours and salary will be discussed with individual applicants as there is a degree of flexibility

  • the Deputy Manager’s approach should promote a caring, inclusive and person centred environment that complies with the National Care Standards and all other regulations

  • preparing lunch for 41 residents
  • we offer the residents 2 choices of either meat, fish, vegetarian dishes plus seasonal vegetables
  • A dessert of a hot pudding is also offered
  • at teatime the menu is hot soup, a selection of sandwiches and a selection of desserts
  • we also have residents who have special dietary needs, training will be given
  • kitchen Assistant - 7.30am until 2.30pm. Preparing residents breakfast, understanding their dietary needs. Keeping the kitchen clean, dining room clean and general cleanliness of all areas. Working as a team
