Responsibility
supervising and co-ordinating members of the cleaning team to ensure an efficient cleaning service to the expected standards
daily allocating of cleaning staff using computerised allocation sheet
ensuring that cleaning staff wear appropriate PPE and use safe working practices
monitoring the performance of cleaning staff and addressing any repetitive issues directly with the Cleaning Manager
reporting equipment and maintenance issues
authorising timesheets and electronic rostering system for cleaning staff including maintaining annual leave and sickness records
visiting cleaning staff in their allocated place of work to ensure cleaning standards are being met and cleaning schedules are being followed
ensuring all necessary documentation is being completed by cleaners and any audits failures are addressed directly with them in order to rectify failures quickly and efficiently
Requirements
level of education to GCSE standard
understanding of Health and Safety requirements in cleaning services
ability to plan and prioritise workload
good verbal and written communication skills
respectful to others and genuinely kind and caring with positive attitude
previous experience in supervision or management of staff within cleaning sector is highly desirable, although candidates with all supervision background will be equally considered
