as a Registered Manager for a Children's Home, you will be responsible for the overall management, leadership, and supervision of the children's home, ensuring that it operates in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices
your primary goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people in the home, promoting their welfare and well-being
actively participate in safeguarding reviews and investigations when necessary
organize and facilitate relevant training for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
monitor and review care plans regularly, making adjustments as needed to achieve positive outcomes for the children
leadership and Management: Provide strong leadership and direction to the staff team, ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the children's home
Requirements
registration with the appropriate regulatory body, such as Social Work England
proven experience in a managerial or leadership role within a children's residential setting
comprehensive knowledge of child care legislation, safeguarding procedures, and relevant regulations
excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
ability to work effectively under pressure and handle challenging situations with sensitivity and professionalism
commitment to promoting the rights and welfare of children and young people
A relevant social work qualification or a qualification in childcare, leadership, or management
