- maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and documentation related to the home's operations
- as a Registered Manager for a Children's Home, you will be responsible for the overall management, leadership, and supervision of the children's home, ensuring that it operates in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices
- your primary goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people in the home, promoting their welfare and well-being
- actively participate in safeguarding reviews and investigations when necessary
- organize and facilitate relevant training for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
- monitor and review care plans regularly, making adjustments as needed to achieve positive outcomes for the children
- leadership and Management: Provide strong leadership and direction to the staff team, ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the children's home
Requirements
- registration with the appropriate regulatory body, such as Social Work England
- proven experience in a managerial or leadership role within a children's residential setting
- comprehensive knowledge of child care legislation, safeguarding procedures, and relevant regulations
- excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- ability to work effectively under pressure and handle challenging situations with sensitivity and professionalism
- commitment to promoting the rights and welfare of children and young people
- A relevant social work qualification or a qualification in childcare, leadership, or management
- social care: 2 years
