BAWNBUA FOODS is looking for employees for positions:

quality assurance manager

Responsibility

  • to maintain the Quality Manual and systems to the required BRC standard
  • to liaise with customers and suppliers regarding any quality or food safety issues
  • to liaise with the supply base to ensure compliance with Bawnbua supplier approval criteria
  • to supervise and manage the QA staff and Hygiene staff
  • to ensure that all QA records are completed, recorded and filed accurately
  • to work with the Production Manager and Supervisors ensuring that all production activities meet the required standards
  • to work with the Management Team to ensure technical audits are managed effectively
  • to understand the role of the Technical Manager and be able to deputise

Education

  • certificate of Higher Education

Requirements

  • clean UK/EU driving license
  • minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience working in Quality / Technical role
  • third level qualification Degree or HNC/D in a relevant food related discipline
  • ability to effectively plan and organise to meet deadlines
  • strong IT skills and an ability to record and present information in a concise format
  • the ability to work well under pressure and to play your role in a busy team environment
  • excellent communicator with positive leadership skills
  • quality assurance: 2 years

cleaner

Responsibility

  • responsible for providing a high level cleaning service to specific areas of the department
  • dismantle relevant production equipment to enable cleaning to be carried out
  • cleaning of, equipment, tables, lines, walls and floors etc
  • cleaning waste bins and drains after production is completed
  • use cleaning chemicals as instructed and in a safe manner
  • ensure compliance with company cleaning standards
  • be able to follow a planned cleaning schedule

  • self-motivated to ensure all jobs are completed on time

  • the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • the ability to maintain and improve on our high levels of hygiene

  • previous cleaning experience and understanding of cleaning chemicals
  • strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • good time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • ability to handle cleaning equipment safely and effectively
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
