- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- we are recruiting a head chef to manage our well equipped kitchen in a small friendly nursing home
- the successful candidate will have experience running a kitchen and will also have completed food hygiene training
- full training will be provided. A clean DBS and two good references are also required
- an understanding of the catering requirements for elderly residents including IDDSI levels and an understanding of catering for those with medical requirements and disabilities is required
- oversee and manage the daily operations of the kitchen
- create and develop innovative and delicious menu items
- ensure food quality and presentation meets high standards
- train and supervise kitchen staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations
Requirements
- proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a restaurant setting
- strong leadership and management skills
- excellent culinary skills with a creative flair for menu development
- knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team
- chef: 1 year
