Responsibility
- lead and manage a combined bakery team of 17 bakers and assistants, providing training, guidance, and support
- facilitate the production of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies and other baked goods, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
- develop new recipes and improve existing ones, staying up-to-date with baking trends
- line manage the section heads and assist with hiring for all production focussed roles within the bakery
- ensure all baked goods meet health and safety standards, including proper food handling and storage
- manage supplier relationships and identify new suppliers
- collaborate with the management team to meet production goals and drive business growth
- manage costs and minimise waste while maintaining the highest product standards
