undertake plant maintenance tasks as required and ensuring lock-out and shut-out procedures are followed at all times when undertaking repairs
liaising with manufacturers to ensure the correct services schedules are adhered to and other periodic inspection work is diligently completed
maintenance of hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems – their function and servicing or repair as required
reporting any non-conformance or near miss incidents, as health and safety is of paramount importance
primarily this will be the daily preventative maintenance of mobile waste shredders, fixed recycling plant, mobile material handler and wheeled bucket loader to include the cleaning, lubrication and completion of the daily check sheets
attending appropriate product training sessions to familiarize with the maintenance inspection regime of the manufacturer and implementing processes to maximize the efficiency of the shredders and control/monitor running costs
ensure familiarisation with COSHH regulations and the correct and proper storage of flammable and hazardous substances
maintain plant and equipment to agreed levels in line with the Company Maintenance Programme, including carrying out safety inspections and keeping the work and storage areas tidy and free of debris
Education
recognised plant maintenance qualifications
welding experience required
