- engineering Apprenticeship NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in relevant discipline or NVQ/Diploma Level 2 plus industrial experience

- knowledge of electronics or electrical test equipment
- be able to show aptitude in fault-finding and problem solving

- experience in undertaking scientific research in either a post-graduate or industrial context
- commercial Finite Element Analysis codes such as Abaqus, Ansys, LS-Dyna
- linux/HPC computer environments
- shock physics
- use/implementation of equation of state material models
- theoretical modelling of mechanical and thermodynamic systems
- providing appropriate assistance for porting specific codes to new platforms
- design, coding, testing, installation and maintenance of software modules
- production of suitable online documentation
- interacting with vendors, universities and US laboratories on leading-edge research
- research level investigation of advanced novel techniques for solution of multi-physics problems
- development of relevant benchmarks for assessing current and future systems

- candidates for the role of Production Operative must have a BMI of less than 35

- good general standard of education, CIPD or relevant HR qualification

- with guidance from the Heads of HR , support the development and implementation of People Strategy and Plans for functional area of the business
- applying Maintenance & Reliability Principles; enact as directed by planning, output from Failure Modes & Effects Analysis
- experience in the use of CBM hardware and software; maintenance processes and tools used to analyse and manage asset reliability
- analyse relevant metrics and contribute to KPI and other reporting as required
- good knowledge of complex mechanical and/or electronical systems and the associated reliability issues
- assist in Reliability Centred Maintenance planning and perform Root Cause Analysis
- A good awareness of relevant legislation and supporting ACOP, and common industry standards
- experience within the higher hazard / regulated industries preferred, not essential
- membership of an engineering institution and/or Incorporated Engineer or equivalent. Preferred, not essential
