Responsibility

  • supervising the accomplishment of painting and corrosion control processes required on aircraft components & customer aircraft undergoing base maintenance
  • painting of customer aircraft to the highest standard
  • managing paint shop activity and coordinating with the workshop team – leading the standards of maintenance execution by example
  • to assist with painting and corrosion control requirements for hangar maintenance inputs, when required
  • undertake and supervise routine paint touch-ups and paint modifications as directed by the Workshop Supervision

Requirements

  • minimum of 3 years’ experience as a painter in an aircraft paint shop or maintenance environment. Preferably in a supervisory role
  • minimum of 2 years’ experience as an aircraft painter, preferably in a supervisory role
  • must be able to work in a dynamic environment and be flexible to meet changing working requirements
  • indentured apprenticeship or equivalent in an aviation-paint field
  • excellent organisational, interpersonal & supervisory skills
  • full UK Driving licence Essential
  • strong organisational & interpersonal skills

maintenance manager

Responsibility

  • develop and manage the Part 145 Maintenance Training Program, ensuring compliance with EASA, UK CAA, MAA, and other applicable aviation regulations
  • collaborate with Boeing representatives to develop and implement effective training strategies for the E7 Wedgetail project
  • design and deliver training materials and programmes with ongoing improvements to delivery methods
  • ensure all training activities comply with the organisation's MOE and applicable regulatory authorities
  • develop and maintain training KPIs and goals, reporting results to the Senior Leadership team
  • support onboarding and induction programmes, arranging relevant training and approvals for new hires

Requirements

  • strong understanding of EASA Part 145 & Part 147 training regulatory requirements, including MOE training compliance

  • previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a military or aerospace manufacturing environment
  • knowledge of aviation, manufacturing, and production processes

Requirements

  • time-served aerospace industry apprenticeship with a minimum of two years’ post-apprenticeship experience
  • previous company approval on at least one of the engine types listed above
  • hands-on experience in a busy engine shop, working on engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul
  • familiarity with engine shop manuals and regulatory standards, including relevant ATA chapters
  • understanding of Part 145 and FAA regulations
  • strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • borescope inspection experience is desirable
  • forklift license is desirable, but training can be arranged
