Responsibility

• ensure Health and Safety legislative requirements are met
• continually improve Health and Safety processes within the hatchery
• undertake Risk Assessments

• update and maintain Safe Working Practices
• internally audit the hatcheries to identify potential hazards
• assist with the co-ordination and allocation of relevant Health & Safety training
• delivery of Health & Safety training such as Manual Handling
• ensure all training is recorded and supplied to the Compliance Administrator
• co-ordinate face fit testing, ensuring all staff are supplied correctly and manage filter changes accordingly
• undertake quarterly Health and Safety audits for the Health & Safety Manager
• ensure all accidents and near misses are reported and recorded correctly
• investigate any accidents reported with an aim to establish preventative measures
• review and maintain the Standard Competencies
• ensure high standards of bio-security are maintained at all times
