Responsibility
- take an active role in the recruitment, selection and screening of staff
- assume responsibility for the implementation of the 24-hour programme, liaising with both the language and communications therapist and teaching staff
- ensure that resident reviews are held within the statutory requirements and, where necessary, be prepared to chair the meetings and take minutes
- any other duties commensurate with the grading of the post
- assess the individual needs of each resident and review this on a regular basis, ensuring that the progress of each child is monitored and recorded comprehensively and confidentially in line with statutory requirements
- ensure the highest standard of care is delivered within the home, in line with NEAS policies, current legislation, quality care standards and best practice
- guarantee that the home is administered effectively and ensure the building and its environment are kept in a state of good repair, liaising with the relevant teams within NEAS when maintenance work is required
- provide support to the monthly Regulation 44 Inspector and carry out and complete the 6- monthly Quality of Care Review
