to ensure all work undertaken has effective financial controls in place
to build relationships with current customers & seek new business / projects
ensure the financial and commercial elements of contracts with customers and suppliers are effectively managed

assist in financial negotiations with customers including face-to-face meetings
oversee reporting of P&L and order status reports to the MD
to ensure targets and objectives are monitored and maintained to suitably underpin financial targets
oversight of credit control and management of aged debt
approval and validation of supplier invoices, monitoring cash flow and supplier payments in conjunction with the admin team
ensure financial and commercial performance is regularly reviewed by Project Managers and the Senior Team
as Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the management and monitoring of both the financial and commercial aspects of work undertaken by the company, advising and supporting operational teams & reporting to the MD

2-3 yrs min accounts experience in a similar role essential
the ability to work in a fast paced environment, with agreed deadlines and timescales
advanced computer literacy skills – Sage 50 & MS Office

mechanical engineering background
hands on experience with workshop fitting, assembly, fabrication
cutting, shaping, fitting parts and assemblies

experience of using hand and power tools and workshop machinery
ability to understand engineering drawings
good understanding of general health and safety
able to work effectively alone or as part of a team
must be organised and an effective communicator
an engineering qualification – C&G, BTEC Level 3, NVQ, etc would be advantageous but not a requirement
