  • sending CHAPS/BACS payments through the bank line

  • organising the banking of any cheques received
  • posting of disbursement to ledgers
  • posting quarterly interest payments

Requirements

  • minimum of 3 years experience
  • high standard of verbal and written communication skills
  • able to manage a busy workload with minimal supervision
  • it is essential to have detailed knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • proven ability to perform well under pressure
  • highly organised, able to meet tight deadlines
  • accounting: 1 year
  • bookkeeping: 1 year

Responsibility

  • participate in the distribution of post, DX, couriers, deliveries and supplies around the firm
  • opening new files on our case management system and opening the paper file
  • taking card payments from clients and preparing the Echits to place on file and send to the Accounts office
  • managing petty cash
  • 1.Handling incoming enquiries by telephone and meeting and greeting clients. Taking messages and voicemails from clients and delivering them via email to the appropriate person
  • dealing with the staff holiday records
  • assist in the completion of requested print, scan, photocopying, taking client’s ID and POA from client’s and ensure that these are completed and delivered in a timely manner
  • any other duties as reasonably required by the business
