Responsibility

  • ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
  • understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery
  • promote respect and credibility for this position through effective communication skills, impartiality and consistency
  • inspire staff team with creative ideas and new challenges with aim to achieve outstanding practice
  • maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file
  • undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families
  • assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication, and ensure care plans are thorough and up-to-date for children or staff with health conditions
  • ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources that are appropriate to their age and stage of development

Requirements

  • full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
  • over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - Essential

  • experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - Desirable
