Responsibility
- work closely with Mental Health Care Assistants to safely transport and care for patients
- monitor any signs of ill health during transportation
- report patient observations to NHS partners
- support empowerment of patients, having regard for their dignity and rights whilst maintaining professional responsibility for individuals in our care
- review and ensure correct section papers are in place for patients in our care
- oversee the safe transportation of those detained under the MHA 1983, taking into consideration co-ordination, planning and evaluation of individual patient needs, with a focus on risk assessment/management strategies
Requirements
- both newly Qualified or Experienced RMN/RNLD
- experience working within a Mental Health setting
- knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and Mental Capacity Act 2005
