Responsibility
- prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
- operate airless paint spraying equipment to apply powder coating to various surfaces
- preparing and powder coating a variety of machine component parts
- ensure proper thickness and even application of powder coating
- baking parts at appropriate temperatures within time limits
- use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality of coated products
- ensuring all component parts are coated efficiently and to the company’s high-quality standard
- inspect finished products for any defects or imperfections
Requirements
- willingness to learn
- experience with powder coating or auto painting is preferred
- A strong attention to detail
- familiarity with hand tools and power tools for surface preparation and coating application
- ability to work independently
- ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- excellent communication and team working skills
- basic math skills for measuring and calculating coating requirements
