electrical estimator
Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- electrical Estimator & Project Manager
- liaise with clients to understand their needs in order to develop estimates and design
- prepare detailed estimates for pre-designed and full design and build projects valued to £1m
- supply alternative methods of installations for consideration to provide a commercial advantage
- take off quantities from drawings and input information onto our Estimating System
- must be commercially focused and identify financial risks within projects
- attend pre-tender, mid-tender, post-tender and site meetings with clients
- secure contracts and handover to project managers after pre-order meetings
Requirements
- electrical related qualifications and experience in line with this role
- experience of estimating electrical work to the required level
- ability to liaise with clients and consultants to provide proposals
- good knowledge and understanding of Cypher estimating software or similar
- good knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD software or similar
- good understanding of IT skills
- knowledge of materials and construction methods
- understanding of electrical techniques and methodologies
