- as a Support Worker, you will be providing day to day care and support to adults with mental health, physical and learning difficulties whilst respecting the individuals preferences and choices

- the service will be supported by our existing service, a few miles away in Tingley and will run as a hub and bespoke model
- you will celebrate every step our tenants take on their path to greater independence , no matter how small they are. Supporting them through difficult times whilst learning from your colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- some of your time may involve providing physical care, assistance or prompting in accordance with the individuals care plan, respecting their dignity and preferences
- ensuring all relevant documentation are kept up to date and in line with the organisations Data Protection policy. This includes care plans, communication logbooks etc
- you will need to be prepared to be flexible and work a 24 / 7 rota including sleeps ins, waking nights , weekends and bank holidays
- understand personal responsibilities with regard to Health and Safety at Work legislation, particularly in relation to moving and handling of Service Users and fire safety and evacuation procedures

- the key is the ability to demonstrate a passion to deliver excellent service to vulnerable adults in a dignified manner
- our tenants will need support with daily living tasks such as cooking, personal care, appointments, medication and money management
- report any instances of alleged abuse which you witness or become aware of
- you will help encourage and support them to re-learn skills and tackle new ones in a safe and supportive environment
