to ensure medical and dental treatments are arranged as necessary
to liaise with family and other multi-agencies to gather information to assist in assessing the needs of children and young people
work with all children and young people within the home whilst carrying out Placement Plans to ensure that the young people’s physical, emotional, and social well-being is cared for, and feeding back information to relevant individuals as appropriate
to support children and young people in other environments outside of the home, as required i.e. at school & during hospital stays/admissions
reporting any child protection issues
protecting each child and the group by providing supervision and control appropriate to their age and understanding

Requirements

there may be an option for the successful candidate to work towards this qualification alongside their role

candidates are expected to hold the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or a qualification that the registered provider considers to be the equivalent to the Level 3 Diploma
in the past 5 years the candidate should have at least 1 years’ experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children
