Responsibility
- ensuring all drivers have the correct and relevant paperwork
- one of our colleagues has left for pastures new and we are looking for a replacement Senior Transport Supervisor to take his place; joining a team of 5 other supervisors you will take the lead within the Transport team ensuring the safe and efficient day to day running of the 80 strong fleet and over 100 drivers
- demonstrating best practice adherence to procedure
- we are a fast-moving and fast-growing food wholesaler supplying many of the finest chefs throughout London and the Southeast with all the produce they could need for their service
- provide guidance and support to all drivers
- deal with general queries from both customers and drivers on the road
- manage drivers and ensure deliveries are made with excellent customer service, abiding traffic laws etc
- liaising between drivers and the office, re-directing routes and mitigating disruption
Requirements
- be an effective communicator across all levels and departments
- take a positive and proactive approach, motivating the team to succeed
- have excellent planning and organisational skills
- have the ability to manage and delegate changing workloads and priorities
- be a good problem solver, thinking innovatively and working well under pressure with the ability to respond quickly to change
- hold a full valid driving licence
