ALADAN SUPPORT SERVICES is looking for employees for positions:
- provide personal care and support to clients in accordance with their person centred care plans
- assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition
- implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with challenging behaviours
- maintain a safe and clean environment for clients by following health and safety protocols
- document client progress and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- foster positive relationships with clients by engaging in meaningful conversations and activities
- support families by providing updates on client well-being and participating in care planning meetings
- previous experience in care setting is preferred
- knowledge of medication administration procedures and best practices in client care
- understanding of behaviour management techniques and experience working with individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life
- flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
- relevant qualifications in health and social care are advantageous but not essential
