Responsibility
- reconciliation of inter-company balances
- preparation of VAT returns, EC Sales Listing and Intrastat reporting for all EU subsidiaries
- ongoing review of multi-currency cashflows and preparation of cashflow forecasting across multiple bank accounts
- preparation of monthly payroll journals and associated salary payments, including all local social security payments
- preparing weekly sales revenue forecasts
- working closely with external accountant to complete annual audits and statutory accounts in a timely manner
- assisting with additional finance projects as required
- as a senior member of the finance team, providing technical support to other team members to assist the efficient running of the department
Requirements
- 5 years' prior experience in a multi-currency management accounts position
- recent experience working directly in a European company or for a UK company with EU subsidiaries
- recent experience of EU VAT Returns, Intrastat and EC Sales requirements
- ideally from a manufacturing background with a good understanding in all areas of the business operation
- CIMA/ACCA fully qualified
- proven team player with strong communication skills
- comfortable working to tight timescales, with flexibility to ensure deadlines met, particularly around month-end close
- multi-currency management accounting: 5 years
