Responsibility

  • ensuring the Fleet are compliant to Roadworthiness Regulations
  • maintaining Fleet compliance through regular service inspections
  • preparing vehicles for MOT testing
  • responding to defect reporting processes and carrying out rectifications on Fleet vehicles
  • communication with all teams to ensure no impact on Transport Operation
  • callout ROTA covering fleet and Renault 24/7 vehicles
  • responding to defect reporting processes and carrying out rectifications on Fleet vehicles and customer vehicles

Responsibility

  • inspection, Maintenance & Repair of shipping containers
  • welding Experience Preferred
  • organising Depot to ensure safe and efficient operations at all times
  • operating Container lifter
  • shunting activities within the yard
  • ensuring high level of teamwork and communication with Transport Office, Drivers, Workshop and Management
  • taking ownership of quality and productivity of all work undertaken
  • complete all necessary paperwork as requested, to include repair and job sheets and also update relevant software systems where required

Requirements

  • previous experience in Container Industry & Operations, Maintenance & Repair is preferred
  • valid Driving Licence, LGV licence is an advantage
  • forklift Licence Required
  • container lifter experience would be an advantage but training will be provided
  • CSC Awareness or Certification is desirable
  • take personal ownership of the safety of themselves and those around them
  • takes the initiative and seeks out additional work wherever possible
  • communicates in a clear, concise and professional manner

workshop manager

  • leading the way and promoting a safety culture within the team
  • reporting at management meetings and customer scheduled meetings

Responsibility

  • laise with all shifts to ensure required parts are ordered to maintain customer satisfaction
  • provide timely communication on parts and order status
  • issue purchase orders as required and match incoming delivery notes
  • ensure all stock is always secure and well maintained
  • maintain all stock levels and deal with any parts requests from technicians and other internal customers
  • identify and understand the parts required by technicians
  • ensure all parts issued/used are added to the correct job cards
  • responsible for purchase, maintenance and repair of all tooling and other workshop equipment

Requirements

  • previous experience working in a similar role ideally in a workshop environment
  • good numeracy and literacy skills
  • attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • planning and organisational skills
  • flexibility – you may be required to work late in busy periods
  • patience and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • ability to build good relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • high level of H&S Standards
