- one of the UK's premier Facilities Management providers are now looking for a Shift Electrician to boost their on site resource across planned and reactive maintenance within a major, critical site by the river Clyde, a short walk from Glasgow train station for the banking client
- carry out site PPM and ensure electrical fixed wire systems, tap temperatures, emergency lighting and generators are tested and fixed when required
- this is a cutting edge facility consisting of a cluster of corporate buildings with leisure and recreational facilities. To help run the facility, there is critical equipment consisting of HV and LV infrastructure and complex HVAC systems
- to co-ordinate initial actions associated with all requests from the client
- ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance
- while you are principally based on the single site, as the lone engineer, completing planned maintenance and monitoring sub contractors, there will be some support to the local region across a variety of maintenance works, for this, you are given a company vehicle full time
- to co-ordinate visiting specialist sub contractors associated with electrical aspects of the PPM schedules
- to undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met
- ensure company compliance with statutory regulations
- here , you will complete planned and reactive maintenance across LV infrastructure while escorting sub contractors for more specialist works
- vetting safe system paperwork and issuing Permits and Authority to work as appropriate
- to co-ordinate visiting specialist sub-contractors associated with electrical aspects of the PPM schedules. Surveying and accepting new works carried out by specialist sub-contractors
- fostering effective working relationships with internal customers and business partners
- responsibility for electrical PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within SLA’s, to ensure the customer expectations are exceeded
- ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised, comply with contractual commitments and site operating processes
Requirements
- comparable experience in an electrically focused maintenance role
- 18th/17th Edition plus City and Guilds Lvl 3 in Installation plus Test and Inspect ideally
- working in the above shift patterns you will ensure an effective electrical service delivery across site infrastructure and plant
