• we are pleased to announce that we are looking to hire a motor vehicle technician in our Nissan and Ford garages
• the successful candidate must have IMI or City and Guilds level 3 or 5 years workshop experience
• MOT testing licence would be preferred but not essential
• diagnose faults with the aid of diagnostic equiptment including Ford's IDS tool and advise/carry out appropriate repair solutions
• with electric vehicles becoming a larger portion of the market an EV qualification would be preferred but not essential
• complete repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
• maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities
• perform maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of vehicles in the Ford range, including light commercial vehicles and Ford's exciting EV and hybrid range

• obtain appropriate authorisation if additional work is required on a vehicle

Requirements

• strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
• previous experience as a vehicle technician or in a similar role is preferred
• experience using hand tools and power tools
