gi group have an excellent opportunity for an Automotive Vehicle Technician to join McLaren Automotive in Woking
pay rate of £15.78 per hour
to complete mechanical repairs including MOT tests, servicing and tyre changes in line with approved methods
to work productively ensuring repairs are completed within the deadline and work prioritised to achieve maximum efficiency
ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and thoroughly
you will be working on a wide range of vehicle makes and models
to highlight when repairs are not possible, or an alternative solution is required
keep all Company tools and equipment safe and in a clean, workable condition paying particular attention to the reduction of any fire hazards
quality check on completion ensuring there are no defects
used vehicle pre-delivery inspections
2 – To test vehicles utilising equipment available and using recognised test procedures and techniques
this will include road testing when deemed necessary
to drive in a manner within the parameters of the law and ensuring that all police signs are covered appropriately
1 – To service, adjust and repair vehicles, components and accessories including removal and refitting in a safe, proper and economical manner using equipment provided
8 – Provide technical support to colleagues and utilise Diagnostic Technicians where required
3 – To observe, recognise and report on defects and/or symptoms of impending failure. Identification of recharge costs advising the Workshop Controller and correct completion of paperwork
4 – To order from the parts department, all necessary replacement parts, ensuring that no parts are fitted to vehicles other than those required to complete the work
10 – Ensure all QTIB bulletins and related procedures and supporting documentation are read and pro-actively read on a quarterly basis
