- fully understand the contractual support requirements to develop a sustainable, cost effective Support Solution in collaboration with Team members
- marshall Land Systems will be relocating to Alconbury Weald in December 2025
- promote the implementation of Systems Engineering across the MLS Engineering function
- ensure that all support activities are undertaken in the most cost-effective manner to achieve a quality level above the customers' expectations

- deliver an endorsed Support Solution within 12 months of the contract commencement date in accordance with allocated budgets
- produce presentation packs and present evidence in formal development gate reviews
- challenge the status quo, bring new ideas to improve engineering quality, productivity and timeliness of delivery
- support formal project reviews and provide guidance across the business unit
- demonstrate a knowledge of delivering In Service Support solutions

- produce safety documentation, including hazard logs
- agree functional budget and monitor expenditure to meet outputs
- produce, or review and approve technical specifications for sub-contract suppliers
- act as a project integrator and interface between project management and other engineering teams
- provide technical expertise to the larger team - specifically electronic systems supportability
- in this role the Engineering Manager you will be the technical lead on a small project or a number of engineering work packages, responsible for delivering a technical solution compliant with system and legislative requirements, to schedule and cost
- in collaboration with other Team members, manage the support contract, ensuring appropriate use of resources to deliver the contracted scope of work within agreed deadlines
- lead the development team to ensure most cost effective solutions are developed, which are safe to use and compliant with requirements and statutory legislation
- develop and contribute to a Customer Friend process to enable decisions to be made in a timely manner
- produce, or review and approve test schedules / reports and lead testing activities
- ensure budgets and timescales are met, whilst managing and ensuring delivery of functional engineering within the project team
- you will lead the development of innovative solutions that meet our customer needs. These projects and packages are varied and at times complex used to support our military customers for missions systems and deployable infrastructure
- manage team performance to ensure delivery to schedule and budget
- lead engagement with the customer to develop a shared understanding of project objectives / milestones, and develop a working relationship
- foster collaborative relationships with the larger project Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the smooth delivery of the contract
- manage the development and provision of a complete range of Post Design Service support
- based in the UK, with operations in Canada, Marshall Land Systems specialises in the design and production of deployable operational infrastructure and mission support for humanitarian, defence and security operations across the globe
- oversight of Work Package Management to ensure appropriate control and deliverables remain on track
- conduct Professional Development Reviews and support development of engineers
