- reporting into our Engineering Duty Managers, you’ll be responsible for providing maintenance and technical resource throughout the Airport, ensuring our systems, services and assets are maintained to the highest of standards
- undertake routine inspection and maintenance tasks on Emergency Lighting systems
- collaborate with other departments and business partners to feedback relevant information on ongoing issues during assessment periods
- co-coordinate, supervise and escort Contractors and Service Engineers as required in accordance with relevant Bristol Airport H&S policy

- assist with emergency repairs, heavy recoveries, and snow equipment repairs
- this is a varied role with the opportunity to work in all aspects of our Airport operation and would suit someone from an Engineering background
- develop a comprehensive understanding of the airport layout, functions and assets through a process of continuous development, assessment, training and development
- review, inspect and check work carried out by subcontractors, report any compliance / quality issues and oversee remedial works

- complete service and repair maintenance tasks to a wide range of airport vehicles including, but not limited to Ground Support Equipment, Buses, Fire Vehicles, Snow Clearing Equipment and light and heavy vehicles including 4X4’s and Agricultural Equipment
- undertake all reactive maintenance duties responding to system and equipment failures in a timely manner in order to sustain the Airports services
- undertake engineering and maintenance duties on Electrical and Mechanical systems, including, but not limited to; HV and LV distribution systems, baggage handling systems, emergency lighting, fire alarm, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
- manage and maintain the fleet management system ensuring that all jobs are completed on time, within budget and accurate records kept up to date
- the role is shift based, meaning you’ll work two 12-hour shifts from 6am - 6pm then two 12-hour night shifts from 6pm-6am followed by four days off
- provide on-call assistance when required in line with the department’s on-call roster
- bristol Airport is a 24-7-365 operation, so at times you may work weekends & bank holidays if your shifts fall on these days
- ensure that engineering spares are ordered through BRS purchasing procedures and spares are available to maintain equipment reliability
- plan and complete inspections, maintenance and fault finding activities on the Airfield Ground Lighting and associated systems, and other airfield installations as required to ensure regulatory compliance
- maintain and keep detailed records of maintenance problems and activities
- refuel critical generators and carry out maintenance to critical AGL systems

- produce and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements for BRS Engineering activities and to issuing Work Permits for Business Partners and Service Engineers
- provide guidance and support for Development and Commercial teams on projects as required
- provide updates and reports on any equipment or system failures
- undertake driving duties on and off site to assist with motor transport breakdowns and the collection and delivery of vehicles and specialist parts
- produce and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements for BRS Engineering activities and issue Work Permits for any Business Partners and Service Engineers
- manage your own compliance of Health & Safety within the workplace and wider site environment at all times
- ensure that Engineering Duty Managers are kept updated on any significant projects or tasks
- ensure that engineering spares are ordered through BRS purchasing procedures and spares are available to maintain equipment reliability and reduce down time following failures
- manage own compliance of Health & Safety within the workplace and wider site environment
