- accountable for completing internal audits at the depot to support assurance, audits and risk objectives
- liaising with various stakeholders throughout the customs process to ensure the efficient transport of goods
- part of the Culina Group, Morgan McLernon has the largest operation in Northern and Southern Ireland serving over 120 clients, specialising in providing first class chilled and frozen distribution and warehousing services to major retailers
- ensuring compliance with established internal and external control procedures by examining records, reports and documentation

- complete clients self-assessment questionnaires and answer client queries
- contacting suppliers to obtain relevant paperwork in relation to any import shipments
- applying the correct tariff codes to consignments accurately
- monthly calibration of hand held probes and coordinate annual calibration of master probe
- inputting customs references into shipping systems and recognising when errors arise
- carry out monthly glass & plastic audits in line with BRCGS
- alerting customers of any customs issues and alerting transport departments to driver routings
- support the site with their maintenance log and ensuring all jobs are completed in a timely manner
- an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Customs Administrator to support our Transport Planners with customs documentation. This is a full-time role based at our Lurgan depot in Northern Ireland
- the purpose of a Pod Administrator is to provide Purchase Order Delivery administration to Client Support Services. Split down, validate and confirm in an accurate timely manner all PODs across the Culina Chilled Network
- recognising the importance of adherence of customs law and explaining to new recruits and drivers
- manage Evotix Safety Management System to ensure all incidents/accidents are reported and completed in a timely fashion
- monitor standards & audit requirements to ensure compliance, as well as highlight areas of non-compliance to senior depot management and demonstrate a proactive problem solving approach to resolve any areas of non-compliance
- assisting with compilation of information for month-end, customs & revenue and for auditing procedures
- produce monthly Safety KPI slides for senior management
- shifts: Monday-Friday; 10am-6pm
- dealing with clients, suppliers, drivers and general public to ensure queries are with professionally and within a timely manner
- working to tight deadlines with strong attention to detail at all times
- manage and order PPE stocks and distribute as required keeping records of issue
- ensure all SHEQ boards are kept up to date with the latest relevant information
- dealing with customer queries in accordance
Requirements
- experience preferred but not required as full training will be given
- knowledge of Health & Safety would be desirable
- A background in customs systems would be advantageous, although isn’t essential as training will be provided
