• prepare work plans and liaise with the partner/director/manager to ensure that smooth management of the tax dispute
• support senior staff in the negotiation of settlements with HMRC

• we are looking for someone who has the appetite to take advantage of their personal career development and business opportunities, which can be gained through the exposure and responsibility of day to day delivery and management of client relationships
• undertake detailed technical analysis and report your findings in a clear and concise manner to partners, directors or managers
• working with a wider team of experienced HMRC dispute resolution specialists to manage HMRC investigations under COP 9, COP 8, Cross Tax enquiries, NMW enquiries and various technical disputes
• we have a newly created Tax Advisory Manager role due to the success of the Financial Services Tax team
• support and management of the team's graduates, including passing on your knowledge and expertise in HMRC dispute management
• working closely with other members of the Global Mobility Team, you will focus on the delivery of an exceptional service to your clients, demonstrating your solid tax technical capabilities and building strong and lasting relationships with your client base
• take a proactive role in the preparation of investigation and disclosure reports, including all computational aspects of the report, for submission to HMRC FIS, working directly to senior team members
• after recent growth and new clients including fintech's, banks, capital market participants, securities dealers, general and life insurers, Lloyds insurers, insurance brokers, funds and fund managers, we have ambitious targets for the future
• combined with this you will also be responsible for developing and coaching junior members of the team, and other functions needed for the efficient running of the team
• in certain circumstances you will deal directly with clients, contacts and other parties to ensure work is done and produced according to the desired timescales, including attendance at meetings with HMRC in person or online
• tax remains high on the agenda for our FS clients with ongoing geo-political change and significant tax, regulatory and accounting reforms impacting all sectors
• build tax accounting skills and industry knowledge through supporting audits of tax
• assist with the billing and collection in respect of each client in their portfolio

• experience of tax advisory projects primarily for privately owned businesses

Requirements

• qualified or part qualified at ACA, CTA or equivalent
• keen interest in the Real Estate industry with desire to build relevant UK tax expertise
• able to build good relationships with both clients and members of the team
