Requirements


  • city and Guild/NTEC/ONC or similar qualifications in mechanical/electrical engineering
  • as a Field Service Engineer, you should have Mechanical/Electrical engineering experience – Essential
  • willing to undertake training as required to obtain and develop skills and knowledge base
  • be conversant with ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007, the Company’s Integrated Management System
  • suitably qualified electrical or multi skilled electrically biased Engineer/Technician
  • suitably qualified mechanically biased
  • experience working offshore with offshore certificates
  • must have Full, Clean UK Driving License
  • must have Full, UK Driving License
  • experience in a field service role
  • hold Safety Passport
  • commitment to provide quality customer service
  • must hold JIB Skills Card or CCSC
  • excellent problem-solving skills
  • excellent working knowledge of 24-220-selv, 240-690 LV, single and 3 phases systems
  • able to travel internationally
  • you will need to be qualified at least to a NVQ Level 3
  • you must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • electrical Engineering: 1 year
  • you need to be flexible with this role and understand you will be required to be away from home when needed overnight and travel around the UK

Responsibility


  • undertake fault diagnosis, rectification and maintenance on electrical/mechanical equipment
  • complete and submit all relevant documentation accurately on a handheld device and within agreed timescales to meet Service Level Agreements
  • liaising with the customer, once work is allocated giving notice of visit with an agreed date and time
  • carry out service itinerary in accordance with Company and Service procedures, whilst seeking to optimise use of time and minimise associated costs by organizing and prioritising own workload
  • the Field Service Engineer should ensure that all tasks are carried out in compliance with relevant statutory legislation and local policies and codes of practice including Health and Safety, COSHH and safe working procedures, reporting any incidents
  • on arrival at the customer's premises, to inform staff of reason for visit and request permission before carrying out required work so tasks are undertaken in a professional and safe manner
  • maintenance, repair & overhaul of diesel engines and associated components
  • provide expertise to diagnose, analyse and rectify faults
  • carry out all work in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards
  • reporting of any faulty equipment in the correct manner
  • maintain all associated paperwork and systems as required
  • comply with the companies QHSE policies & procedures
  • report all accidents and incidents, including any near misses
  • observe & maintain Health and Safety and Environmental standards for themselves and work colleagues
  • maintain good customer relations
