Requirements


  • qualified counsellor with relevant accreditation and certifications
  • proven experience in relationship counselling
  • availability to offer in person/face-to-face counselling sessions
  • must have access to a professional counselling room for face-to-face appointments

  • ability to establish rapport with clients and create a supportive therapeutic alliance
  • counselling: 1 year
  • excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
  • motivated, enthusiastic and self-aware
  • ability to work independently while mindful of accountability
  • a Diploma in Counselling
  • significant post-qualifying CPD
  • experience of working in the voluntary sector
  • knowledge of services for people in Perth and Kinross
  • experience of promoting equal opportunities and cultural diversity
  • a minimum of 200 hours of supervised counselling practice?
  • therapy / counselling: 1 year
  • educated to postgraduate Diploma or Masters Level in counselling, psychotherapy or counselling psychology and hold an accredited professional body membership
  • accredited Membership of the BACP or UKCP
  • A DBS to cover vulnerable adults

Responsibility


  • we are currently seeking self-employed, experienced and qualified - Kent based Relationship Counsellors/Therapists to join our team
  • conduct face-to-face couple therapy and individual counselling sessions
  • the ideal candidate will be a fully qualified therapist with a strong background in counselling, with specific expertise in relationship counselling
  • provide professional guidance and support to clients facing challenges in their relationships
  • create a safe and confidential space for clients to explore and address their concerns
  • collaborate with clients to develop effective coping strategies and communication skills
  • maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with ethical standards
  • work collaboratively with the RelationshipCounsellingKent.co.uk team to ensure a high standard of service delivery
  • participate in ongoing professional development to stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in relationship counselling
  • liaise with clients, referrers, and relevant agencies to ensure the service is accessible to and appropriate for people seeking counselling support
  • engage in regular external counselling supervision at a level agreed with Senior Counsellor
  • maintain confidentiality appropriate to setting
  • follow good practice and ethical guidelines as required by BACP
  • liaise with admin staff over new clients, and other relevant issues
  • be registered as an individual practitioner with BACP, COSCA or equivalent professional body
  • hold your own professional indemnity insurance, and current registration with ICO
  • we work alongside BACP standard clinical practise as a BACP Organisational Member, and total weekly hours are negotiable for up to 20 possibly 25hrs a week
  • writing clinical notes, planning sessions and updating schools internal systems
  • provide therapeutic counselling support to students experiencing emotional and mental health issues based on their own unique needs
  • ability to emphasise with the students over their personal and emotional needs while
